Immediately after joining Lillstreet Art Center as the Director of Marketing & Communications in 2013, I was tasked with developing a new logo for the large organization. To start, I lead a workshop with Lillstreet’s owner, key directors, and administrative staff to identify the current Lillstreet brand and ways to reshape it. Using that meeting’s findings and my previous market research, I created branding guidelines for directing the Center’s graphic designer, Andy Rohr, in developing a new logo. With the owner’s guidance, we created a logo that reflected Lillstreet’s friendly, supportive, and creative community that was versatile enough to use across the large Center’s many educational departments and art programs.
