In the summer of 2013, Lillstreet Art Center celebrated it’s 10th anniversary in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood. To declare its devotion to this neighborhood and to give back to the community that quickly welcomed and supported the Art Center for a decade, Lillstreet hosted a weekend of free events and activities, including an art exhibition opening, open house, a block party, and the Makers Mini Conference, a collaboration with Renegade Craft Fair and Dabble. Working as Lillstreet’s Director of Marketing and Communications at the time, I helped to coordinate the weekend’s activities and directed the development of a temporary mini-site to promote the celebrations. With my content plan and copy, we whipped up a bold site that helped attract hundreds of visitors, new and old, to Lillstreet that weekend.
